African Bloodstone is a grey-green chalcedony containing inclusions of brecciated jasper and, in some cases, pyrite. These inclusions create the distinctive patterns and colour variations that give the material its unique appearance. Sourced primarily from Africa, this ornamental stone has become popular for its earthy tones and bold natural character. With a hardness of 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale, no two pieces display exactly the same combination of patterns and inclusions.
