Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz, coloured by trace amounts of iron and natural irradiation within the crystal structure. Its colour can range from delicate lavender through to deep violet, with some specimens displaying zones of varying intensity. Amethyst is found in locations including Brazil, Uruguay, Zambia, and Madagascar. With a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale, Amethyst was once considered as valuable as ruby, sapphire, and emerald before large deposits were discovered in Brazil.

Materials: Lovingly handcrafted using tarnish-resistant jewellery wire plated in Sterling Silver or 18ct Gold and finished with an additional protective coating for added durability. Supplied with your choice of chain length; if you require a different length, simply leave a note at checkout.
